Purple Door Productions takes a great deal of pride in promoting events that benefit non-profit and other charitable organizations. In the past decade, Taste of Madison has raised $300,000 for United Cerebral Palsy. And during the Memorial Day weekend, the combined efforts of Brat Fest and Madison Marathon contributed more than $120,000 to over 80 different charities and non-profits in 2008 alone.
Madison Festivals, Inc. recently acquired Kids Expo, formerly a for-profit event, from Wisconsin State Journal. This event is currently going through an overhaul in order to incorporate a charitable element to the festival.
New Glarus Community Fest is a benefit for the New Glarus Youth Committee, which provides funding for educational, artistic and sporting programs as they relate to the kids of Green County, WI. Purple Door is also set to manage Jerry's Race 2009 in Verona, WI, wherein procedes benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association and other health-related organizations.
